Why would I write a post about golf ball markers? I personally think they're one of the coolest things in golf.
(The 7 Golf Ball Markers I Carry in My Bag)
Why Are Ball Markers So Cool?
As you can see from the picture above, I have 7 similar golf ball markers but they vary in design, color, size, etc. Each on tells a story and every golfer has his own.
From top left to right: Ball marker from Lake Buena Vista Golf Course(Walt Disney World- Orlando, FL), Manchester United Ball Marker (Purchased while in London, England), Ball Marker from the Milford Bank, Ball Marker from registering with the PGA a few years back.
From Bottom Left to right: Ball Marker from Champlain Golf Club (Swanton, VT), A coin I use as a ball marker (it's 5 cents in the UK), and a Nike Ball Marker (I have no idea where this came from).
These 7 ball markers come from all over the world and all have a unique story or memory that goes along with them (except for the Nike one, I should probably toss it). They can be a great conversation starter and it's always good to have extra in case someone doesn't have one.
My Favorite Ball Markers
Being as superstitious as I am it's tough to pick a favorite. If I'm putting or playing well, I tend to gravitate towards the same marker (right now it's the Champlain marker). If I have a terrible round I mix it up and go with something different.
(Manchester United Golf Ball Marker & Champlain Golf Club Marker are the two I use most)
The Manchester United one holds a special place for me. When I was in London (thanks to my cousin AY) I wanted to bring something back I would use and would be memorable. As a Man Utd. fan I thought this would be cool and something I could use. It's two-sided with the back being the same logo but in black and white. I also picked up 8 more of these as welcome gifts for the guys at our annual golf trip.
The Champlain Golf Club marker comes from northern Vermont when I was up for a friends wedding The airline (who shall remain nameless) lost my golf glubs and I had to borrow a set. I found this in the rough while looking for a wayward tee shot.
Get to the Point WAM!
My point is something small like this could be a good gift or a fun memory to have. I know when I play a unique place or travel somewhere I look for something small to take with me. You can usually buy a shirt but that can get expensive and take up a lot of space.
If you're at a course and want to pick up something small to remember it by, go with a golf ball marker. It might even be a fun thing to collect!
Do you have a unique golf ball marker? Leave a comment and tell us about it!

I enjoyed every bit of your article. It is very informative and helpful to me as well as to all the commentators. Thanks for taking the time to discuss on this. I will love to read more from you.
