I like golf shoes. Is it weird I'm sitting here writing this post while wearing the FootJoy GreenJoys? Maybe a little. If it was fiscally possible, I'd buy 2 new pairs a year. Unfortunately at this time it's not possible so I buy maybe one new pair a year and it's usually in the off season so I can get them a cheaper price.
For those of you not familiar with this method, every year the golf shoe companies (and most other products)come out with a new shoe which all the retailers will carry because it's the "new thing". In order to make room for this, the retailers then sell the previous year model for a fraction of the cost of when it first came out. I personally don't care if the model is a year older, I care if it's a quality product that will last. If you want to save some money, this is a good way to shop.
Where Was I... Oh, The FootJoy GreenJoys
I actually won this pair of shoes in a long drive contest at the JAG Fund Fundraiser. Well, I won a gift card to the proshop and decided to buy them. I could not be happier that I did.
(The FootJoy GreenJoys just out of the box)
I wore these for the first time last Friday when I walked Whitemarsh Valley Country Club to give them a pretty good test. Whitemarsh is long and hilly, I figured this would be the perfect time. I always buy black golf shoes because they tend to look cleaner longer. Most country clubs have someone to clean your shoes if you're a member. Just leave them by your locker and it's usually taken care of. I tried this with my girlfriend by leaving them out in front of her closet, needless to say this didn't work. Like a car, black stays cleaner than white longer.
Size Matters
In the past I have worn Nike and Adidas. The reason I switched to FJ is they seem to fit me the best. This might not hold true for everyone. My shoe size is a 10.5. When I buy a 10.5 FJ golf shoe it fits me like any other shoe. Try your golf shoes on before you buy them! Just because it says a certain size does not mean it will fit like your sneakers or dress shoes.

Comfort
The comfort of you golf shoe is the most important thing, not looks (that's second). If you're not comfortable in your shoe, it can make for a long 4 hours on the golf course. I was talking about this shoe to the group I was playing with and said it's like walking on air. I was comfortable the entire round and this was only my first time wearing them. Usually you go through a break in phase but these shoes seem to work immediately. No blisters, no soreness.
They save they have Cushioned Sponge Rubber Insoles. I have no idea what that means but it seems to work. Based on comfort, I give these 5 Stars.
How Do They Look?
(A look at the shoes from the front)
I think these are sharp. I like the traditional golf shoe look over the newer golf sneaker. As I mentioned above, comfort is the most important thing. I like the black and silver color scheme they offer although I'm sure you can get this with almost any golf shoe. Looks are a matter of opinion, I happen to think these look good.
Durability and the Spikes
I think this is an important quality. I want my shoe to get me through two golf seasons. Now that I have started walking more rounds, the durability is becoming more important. It's not fair to judge based on one round but I will follow up on the status of these as I play more. I will say this, after one round (and wearing them while sitting here writing) nothing is broken and my feet don't hurt.
The spikes issued with these are the Pulsar Cleats by SoftSpike. The FootJoy website says they are the "#1 selling cleat in golf". I did notice them leaving some spike marks (not scuffs) on the greens when I would pull the ball from the cup or lean down to read my putt.
(The spikes or cleats)
I did not have a problem slipping while hitting shots but I am curious to see how long these spikes last before I need to change them. I usually get a 1.5 seasons but have no idea how often I should be changing them (if you do please comment).
What WAM Thinks
Overall, I think FootJoy makes a great product and if I can deem these shoes durable, they will easily become my favorite of the FootJoy family. The market retail price is around $65. I paid $49 but had a gift card. Check out the prices online after you try them on to see what the best price is before you buy.
Product: FootJoy GreenJoy Golf Shoes
Cost: I paid $49, MSRP is $65
Color: Black and Silver
Buy Again: Yes, if the durability holds up
Recommendation: I highly recommend these for anyone looking for a new golf shoe. The price is right, they look good and are comfortable.
Note: I did not receive sponsorship from FootJoy or any retailer for this. I simply bought them and wanted to share my opinion. You can visit the FootJoy Website for more information.

Killer boots dude!
I have to say I agree with your choice to go with footjoy. I currently wear a Nike shoe and while I really like the look of it (it's the American flag style shoe that Anthony Kim wore during the last Ryder Cup) it is a terrible shoe to walk in.
I therefore have a set of tan and white foot joys that I have decided to use when walking a course. The comfort is unmatched in the FootJoy for walking 18.

Pup- Thanks for commenting. I remember the Nike's you're talking about and those are sharp. The Nike shoes are very popular but the FootJoys seem to fit me better.
I like the idea of having one pair to walk and one to ride.

I envy your style, the idea that your post is a tiny bit unusual makes it so interesting, I am fed up of seeing the same stuff all of the time.

If you are a regular golf player then it is necessary to have a good pair of golf shoes, very few golf shoes are comfortable and one among these is the Footjoy golf shoes which are durable, if you are a kind of player who looks for quality this is the one to possess.
