In my previous post I talked about my travel and mentioned the different courses we played on our trip. Upon arrival to the condo we were staying at, my cousin and I were locked out.... Once we realized it would be a while, we found a course close by and decided to get in an "Emergency 9" before we went out to dinner.
Next to Pease Golf Course is Portsmouth International Airport at Pease. We teed off on the back 9 and one of the first things we saw was a small plane landing... I swore it was close enough to touch. During the round there were several small planes landing all visible during the round. It wasn't until the 18th hole when we saw this:
It was close enough you could read United States Airforce. I've never been that close to a plane flying and it was extremely powerful and one of the things that makes this course, formally owned by The Airforce, unique.

Oww! That was a heck of an experience for you! Seeing an aircraft this close while soaring is definitely exciting! But did you ever imagine your tee-shot hitting the airplanes that pass by? heheh. That would be cool! By the way, is the Air Force Cargo plane a Boeing C-17?
