I was invited to play Doylestown Country Club in Doylestown, PA last week and would recommend this course to everyone who has the opportunity. Whether it's with a member or in a tournament, play this course.
The Course
Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera (I left it in the car) on the course so I can't provide any pictures of the course. The course was in excellent condition with greens and fairways in perfect shape early in the season. We played from the green tees which were 6,248 yards and had a rating/slope of 70.3/134.
We took carts, but the course is walkable. There are several holes with serious elevation change and club selection is key. Starting with hole 4, a 327 yard uphill par 4 and following through to the 7th hole you will alternate between uphill and downhill shots.
The other noticeable trend in the course was the use of water to guard the greens. The several of the holes have a creek or pond to protect the green from your approach shot. What makes this great is it provides you with the risk reward option. Can you carry the water or not? On the 18th hole 2 members of our group put the ball in the water, the group behind us had 2 guys also put it in the water. Some holes the water comes into play from the tee box and again club selection is key.
Blind Shots
I was fortunate enough to play with a member (Thanks to the entire G family for having me out) who knew the course very well. He was able to tell you where to hit your shots and which way the greens broke. There are several blind shot which require a strict club selection. If you're playing with a caddy or a member, use him. He was extremely helpful in working my way around the course and probably contributed to me not losing a ball the entire round.

What Does WAM Think?
This course is great. I'm disappointed not to have pictures for you because it's truly a beautiful golf course. The layout, use of elevation changes, and use of water provide for an excellent risk reward golf course. If you have the chance to play here, do so. The cost to me as a guest was $100 and worth the money. They gave me a guest locker, shined my shoes (tipping is recommended), and allowed be to play one of the most fun golf courses I've been on.
Location: Doylestown, PA
Cost: Private club but I paid $100 to ride with a member.
Slope/Rating: 70.3/134
Proshop: I assume yes but I didn't see it.
Range: Yes, but we didn't use it. There is a practice green near the first tee.
My Score: 90
Play Again: I highly recommend this course to anyone provided the opportunity.

Notes: When leaving the Men's Locker room, pay attention to which door you're leaving out of. I walked into the kitchen twice. haha. Pay attention to club selection and the wind, it might help or hinder you on the shots which require you to carry water. You don't always need to hit driver here!
Thanks again to the member who invited me!
